We are stronger and better together. At Lakeland Regional Health, we offer a number of support groups that bring people together facing similar issues for inspiration, education and discovery. Involvement in a support group can be a valuable resource in your journey to health and wellness.
This support group is aimed at adults previously admitted to our Behavioral Sciences Center and are seeking follow-up support and fellowship. Meetings are held at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center every Monday from 5 pm – 6 pm.
A support discussion group for women who have been diagnosed, are going through or have gone through treatment for breast cancer. Meetings are held at the Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center every 6 weeks from 6 pm - 7 pm. For more information, please contact Tina Weakland, Nurse Navigator, at 863.904.1943.
The Diabetes Support Group meets monthly from October through May, taking off for the summer. The program includes a guest speaker and time for fellowship. Call LRH’s Diabetes Education Department at 863.284.1604 to be added to the mailing list. The meeting location alternates between Lakeland Regional Health on even numbered months and Watson Clinic on odd numbered months.
