Urgent Care

Convenient Same-Day Care, Just for YOU

Picture this: you’re about to start dinner and your youngest starts to cough.

Since they got home from school today, you could tell they hadn’t been feeling their best. You feel their forehead and realize they’re warm. You search for “convenient care near me” and see Lakeland Regional Health’s Urgent Care is right around the corner and open until 8 PM on Monday! You hop in the car with your kiddo and drive over to Urgent Care. You are seen quickly, they’re tested for the flu, you’re given treatment options for your child, and you’re home before dinner gets cold.

The benefits of Urgent Care are endless, and Lakeland Regional Health offers four Urgent Care locations that provide the same level of expert, compassionate care as their hospital and ambulatory locations, in a convenient setting.

“Urgent care is a convenient place to be seen for minor illnesses and injuries. We’re here to offer quick relief — no appointment needed,” says David Remmer, MD, Urgent Care Medical Director at LRH.

What does Urgent Care treat?

The Lakeland Regional Health Urgent Care teams treat a variety of conditions, such as:

  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Cough and cold symptoms
  • Earaches
  • Minor back and shoulder pain
  • Minor medical concerns
  • Minor trauma, burns, or lacerations
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Sinus infections
  • Skin rashes
  • Sprains
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Yeast infections

What makes it different than the ER?

You may be wondering what makes Urgent Care different from going to the emergency room. Urgent Care treats a variety of non-emergency health concerns that need relief soon. For example, the Lakeland Regional Health Urgent Care team can treat colds, cases of the flu, UTIs, and rashes, with no appointment needed. Offices are also conveniently open during the day, after work, and on weekends. The emergency room, on the other hand, will treat life-threatening concerns like chest pain, broken bones, and wounds.

What makes it different from going to the doctor’s office?

Is Urgent Care different from going to your primary care provider? Yes! Your primary care provider will always be your main point of contact for preventative care like screenings, annual check-ups, and specialist referrals. Urgent Care can offer diagnosis and treatments of non-emergency concerns on a walk-in basis. Lakeland Regional Health understands that life happens, and you sometimes need to be seen right away — especially before dinner gets cold. Urgent Care creates another point of care for patients who need relief soon.

When can I go to Urgent Care?

The nice thing about Urgent Care is the convenience. If you need relief soon for non-emergency health concerns for you or your family member (ages 2+), Urgent Care is your answer.

Need a sports physical quick? Urgent Care. Need an X-ray? Urgent Care. Need a strep throat test? Urgent Care. Need to be checked for a UTI? Urgent Care.
