Get Ready for the Season!

We perform pre-participation physical exams required by many sports and recreational associations, including local middle and high schools and the Special Olympics, but we do much more than that.

To help our patients stay healthy and perform at their best year-round, we take time to educate our patients and create custom plans regarding sports nutrition and injury prevention training protocols.  Some athletes have chronic diseases that require extra support or considerations, so we offer help managing those with asthma, diabetes, or with relative energy deficiency.

Innovative Sports Medicine

Our Sports Medicine team strives to provide innovative, evidenced-based medicine. Our specialists are constantly striving to bring you the latest technology, therapy, and treatment options. We work together to manage a wide range of sports-related concerns. Don’t see your condition listed below? Give us a call!

Injuries come in all shapes and sizes, from mild soft tissue injuries like strains and sprains to severe tendon, cartilage, and ligament injuries like ACL tears and ruptured tendons. Diagnostic Ultrasound

Our accomplished sports medicine specialists perform in-clinic diagnostic ultrasound at the time of your appointment for your convenience. Using diagnostic ultrasound for sports-related injuries is highly effective and allows us to see normal anatomy and potential injury to bones as well as surrounding soft tissue, vessels, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Unlike computerized tomography (CT), or fluoroscopy, a diagnostic ultrasound does not involve radiation and is more comfortable than the tight confines of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test.

Ultrasound-guided Injections

Using real-time ultrasound technology, injections can be more accurately guided for the best placement, decreasing pain during injection, improving outcomes and reducing the need for repeat or alternative injections.

  • Corticosteroid injections (CSI)
These injections provide pain relief and reduce inflammation due to injury or disease in specific areas of the body.

  • Viscosupplementation injections
This injection replenishes fluid that is lost through osteoarthritis, injuries for chronic damage.

  • Tendon injections
Injections around the tendon to reduce the swelling and help the tendon heal can help you get back to your activities sooner and with less pain.
