As part of our Congregational Health Partnership, we are working with Feeding Tampa Bay and New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church to provide healthy food for those in need.
Lack of access to enough or nutritionally adequate food is an increasing concern for Polk County. According to Feeding America, 100,470 Polk County Residents experienced food insecurity at some point during 2017. People who are food insecure are 50% more likely to be diabetic, according to a 2014 study in the journal Current Nutrition Reports.
If you or anyone you know is in need of food assistance, please join us on the third Friday of every month at:
