Lakeland Regional Health Kicks Off Get Active!

 

Lakeland Regional Health is excited to announce its second exciting season of Get Active!

Get Active encourages regular physical activity and supports making healthy life changes in a social atmosphere. The program features FREE monthly low impact fitness class taught by wellness partner, the YMCA of West Central Florida. Classes welcome everyone, regardless of fitness level or experience. YMCA membership is not required to participate in the program.

Classes offered will vary and will include cardio, strength training, yoga and Zumba. Total body workouts offer many benefits to participants, including improved coordination, stamina, balance and flexibility. Increasing access to fitness and wellness opportunities is part of our mission to improve the health and well-being of our team members, patients and community.

  • August 24: Hip Hop Dance. Registration and details here.
  • September 14: HIIT Fitness. Registration and details here.

In addition, an accountability group is being formed. This will be a small group of individuals looking for a little more motivation and additional check-ins. The group with last for eight weeks and will work on setting and sticking to goals, healthy eating and fitness. Space is limited. If you are interested, email CHP@myLRH.org.
