Lakeland, FL – The trusted business resource and publication Forbes has named Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) as number 28 on its recently released list of America’s Best Employers.
“People are at the heart of all we do,” said Amy Barry, MBA, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are honored to continue to receive national and international recognition for our organizational commitment to creating a healthy, nurturing and vital workplace culture.”
The report, available on Forbes.com and featured in the April 13 issue of Forbes, examines 1,100 companies with more than 2,500 employees. The survey, conducted by Forbes and Statista.com, attempts to identify factors that influence employee satisfaction, by asking questions such as “On a scale of 0-10, how likely would you be to recommend your employer to someone? How about other employers in your industry?” The survey was conducted anonymously by Statista via online access panels and not through the companies examined.
“We are excited to join the prestigious organizations on this list and even more excited to know our team members enjoy our workplace,” said Elaine C. Thompson, PhD, FACHE, Lakeland Regional Health President and Chief Executive Officer. “We all work diligently to provide exceptional patient care in a workplace environment where every person is treasured, nurtured and inspired.”
The Top 10 employers on the list, in order, are Google, Costco Wholesale, Marathon Petroleum, The Container Store, LL Bean, Baxter International, BMW Group, Shaw Industries, Wegmans Food Markets and Harley-Davidson.
The top five healthcare providers on the list are University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (12), Northside Hospital (23), Intermountain Healthcare (25), University of Michigan Health System (26) and Lakeland Regional Health (28).
More than 20,000 employees at companies with at least 2,500 people were surveyed for the Forbes America’s Best Employers List. The survey was conducted with global digital data collection partners who use innovative technology and proven sampling methodologies to facilitate a deep understanding of consumer opinions and behavior. Participation in the survey was voluntary, and respondents were recruited from thousands of sources to maximize reach and representation.
Lakeland Regional Health has also been recently honored by Gallup and Becker’s Hospital Review for workplace excellence.
