At Lakeland Regional Health, we recognize that quality orthopedic care can help you get back to your normal routine.

Our specialized team of surgeons, nurses, and physician assistants are here to help you get back to work, play and regular living as quickly as possible.

Our expert Orthopedics team is made up of surgeons who are Fellowship-trained in their area of specialty. We are proud to offer several areas of specialized care for our orthopedic patients.

At our state-of-the-art Grasslands Campus, we offer 31 orthopedic exam rooms, a specially equipped orthopedic procedure room, several dedicated casting bays and two digital X-ray suites.

The leading causes of orthopedic trauma include car crashes and industrial accidents, slips, falls or sports injuries. We are fortunate to have three Fellowship-trained surgeons dedicated to Orthopedic Trauma at Lakeland Regional Health. Orthopedic trauma care ranges from simple fractures to severe life-threatening accidents with multiple fractures. As Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center is the only Level II Trauma Center for Polk, Highland and Hardee counties, our Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons provide life-saving trauma care to those arriving as emergency patients.

Our Orthopedic Trauma surgeons also routinely see non-emergency cases on an outpatient basis at our Grasslands Campus, 3030 Harden Blvd #200, Lakeland. Patients who suspect they have a fracture and do not need immediate, emergency care are encouraged to schedule a same-day or next-day appointment with our Orthopedic Trauma surgeons.

Lakeland Regional Health leads the area in the number of joint procedures (hip, knee, shoulder) performed and is recognized statewide for its expertise and capabilities in total joint replacements.

We offer a number of modern hip, knee, shoulder and elbow implants to provide you with the most accurate fit and ensure a more natural range of motion. For answers to your questions about total joint replacement surgery, we have prepared a special, easy-to-read booklet.

Patients experiencing hand issues, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, fractures and arthritis, can receive expert care with one of Polk County’s only hand surgeons.

Dr. Olukemi Fajolu has vast experience in open and endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, thumb joint arthroplasty, injections for Dupuytren’s contractors, tendon repairs, finger and wrist fractures and trigger finger repair.
