Well Visits

Having a pediatrician you trust who knows you and your child can provide comfort for you and your family as your child grows. Well visits allow us to establish an ongoing relationship with you and your child which can help to maximize your healthcare experience. Why are well visits important?

Growth and Development

At these visits, your child will be examined to see if he or she is meeting certain growth and developmental milestones. Keep in mind that children develop at different rates and sometimes your child may be ahead of or lag behind these milestones. When you see your pediatrician on a regular basis, he or she will better be able to monitor your child’s development and can address any of your concerns.

Child Safety

As children grow and become more mobile, their safety needs change. We are well aware of important safety issues that affect children of different ages and can discuss these with you at each well visit.

Immunizations

By keeping regular well visits, it is easier for your child to stay current on his or her immunizations. Vaccination protects children and others you care about from serious illness and complications of vaccine-preventable diseases. If children are not vaccinated, not only can they get sick, they can spread disease to other children who are too young to be vaccinated or to people with weakened immune systems.
