Forbes Names Lakeland Regional Health To Its List of Best Places to Work in Florida

Lakeland, FL – The trusted business resource and publication Forbes named Lakeland Regional Health to its list of Best Employers in Florida.

“Every day, our managers and their team members create a powerfully engaging and diverse work environment at Lakeland Regional Health,” said Elaine C. Thompson, PhD, FACHE, Lakeland Regional Health President and CEO. “We are thrilled that our team members esteem our workplace so highly.”

Forbes partnered with the market research company Statista to pinpoint organizations that employees liked best in this ranking of best employers by state. This is the first time Forbes has undertaken a state-by-state ranking.

The list is formed using a survey, conducted anonymously by Statista, which sampled over 30,000 American workers from all industry sectors. According to Forbes, the respondents are demographically representative of the workforce in the United States. One of the key metrics was the employee’s willingness to recommend their organization to others as a career choice.

“We are honored to continue to receive national recognition for our organizational commitment to creating a healthy, nurturing and vibrant workplace culture,” said Scott Dimmick, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Lakeland Regional Health Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Lakeland Regional Health was one of two winners of the Excellence in Work-Life Balance Award, presented in April 2019 by Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP. In December 2018, Lakeland Regional Health earned a People First award from the Tampa Bay Business Journal, and in October 2018, the Florida Hospital Association recognized Lakeland Regional Health as the Best Large Hospital Workplace.

Lakeland Regional Health joins another Lakeland-based organization, Publix Super Markets, on the Florida list.
