Breast Health

Women have different health histories related to their breast health. Your breasts can change over time, so becoming familiar with your breasts and knowing what is normal for you helps you to be more aware of changes. Recognizing when your breasts have changed or feel different is important so you can let your doctor know.

The physicians at Lakeland Regional Health can help you as you monitor your breast health and keep you informed about the recommended screenings as you age. Should there be a concern, your doctor can order the appropriate testing needed. Types of testing includes mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, and biopsies.

Should it be determined that you need breast surgery for any reason, we have a nationally certified Breast Program, led by two fellowship-trained breast surgeons and a fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon, at our Hollis Cancer Center.
