Congratulations to Howard Gollert, a talented and dedicated hospital information services network engineer who was recently named Lakeland Regional’s employee of the month. Howard has been a part of our information services team for 20 years, and he is responsible for the hospital’s messaging system engineering and administration, server backup and recovery, server anti-virus administration, network systems monitoring and alerting and much more.
“Howard is dedicated to the mission of this organization,” said Rick Rampersad, IT network manager. “They say that wealth is not measured by what you give, not what you have. Howard is constantly giving to this organization and is committed to excellence.”
“He sets the bar when it comes to professionalism,” said Dave Jackson, network engineer. “Howard is a wealth of knowledge and he never turns anyone away – no matter how busy he may be at the time. It is an honor to work with him.”
“If you wanted a picture of an engaged employee, it would be Howard,” said Ann Lanier, IS system administrator.
Among the professional achievements in which Howard is most proud are: becoming a Microsoft Certified IT professional and Certified Novell Administrator. Constantly seeking new knowledge, Howard plans to continue his professional development in the area of engineering systems.
When he’s not hard at work, Howard enjoys cycling, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family. He also likes to travel and play an occasional round of golf. His favorite sport is hockey – and he attends as many games as his schedule will allow.
Congratulations, Howard, and thank you for making a behind-the-scenes difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
