Vision: Exceptional Pharmaceutical Care Without Exception

About Us

The Department of Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care for all patients. Pharmaceutical care includes, but is not limited to, appropriate, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications to patients. Commitment to Care

The pharmacy utilizes MedSelect automated dispensing machines (ADM) throughout the hospital for restricted drug storage. Eighty-five to 90 percent of the patients’ medication needs are available in these machines. Nursing can access these devices once pharmacy has verified the medication orders as safe and appropriate. The pharmacy also stores and dispenses premixed IV products and admixed products. The pharmacy dispenses more than 4 million doses of drugs per year. Pharmacists are deployed to most patient care areas of the hospital and are available to assist physicians, nurses, allied health practitioners, patients and their families with their healthcare needs.

The Pharmacy Leadership Team determines the short and long term goals which are consistent with and focus on fulfillment of the department’s and institution’s mission and vision.
