In any crisis, expert care is critical.
Our emergency department alone holds more beds than some hospitals have in their entire facility. And with approximately 170,000 visits on average each year, ours is the busiest single-site emergency room in the state. As Polk County’s only state-designated Level II Trauma Center, we’re equipped with all the necessary state-of-the-art, life saving equipment; a dedicated chest pain management staff to expedite cardiac cases; and a 10-bed pediatric emergency center with tools specific to a child’s needs.
Despite our high volume, we provide personalized care with specialized options allowing more focused attention to the needs of each patient. Our Fast Track emergency clinic offers convenient and efficient bedside care for non-urgent injuries and illness. And our onsite diagnostic services such as CT Scan, MRI, and ultrasound provide quicker and easier patient access. So no matter what the emergency, we’re ready even when you’re not.
And when the situation is touch and go, our critical care services remain solid. On our surgical, cardiac and medical intensive care units you’ll find only the latest, most sophisticated technologies and monitoring equipment. To add to the quality of our services, we have board certified physicians and registered nurses who are specialized in critical care — something usually found only at large urban medical centers and teaching facilities. Because when services such as these are required, the level of care you receive is vitally important.
