What our nurses have to say
“LRH is a great place to work. Nurses are encouraged and have the opportunity to further their education to better care for their patients. I feel fortunate to work in such an environment in which I am learning something new every day.” Lisa M., RN
Advanced Practice Nurses
Clinical expertise, safety and quality initiatives are foundational to the Advanced Practice Nurses influence on patient outcomes, nursing performance, practice standards and healthcare organizational goals. Advanced Practice Nurses at LRH are part of an expert team. While each member has areas of specialty, members collaborate with one another, other specialty nursing areas and various health care disciplines. The team interacts widely with both the internal and external communities in which they serve. Specialities represented on the team include cardiology, critical care, diabetes, gerontology, maternal child health, oncology, palliative care, pediatrics, stroke, surgery and trauma.
The APN team works collaboratively throughout the institution, sharing clinical knowledge and expertise with patients, staff and families. They not only improve the bedside through evidence-based practice, they also contribute to system-wide improvements and change.
